I bought this item as a replacement for my outdoor grill. The grill is an old well made model, and I have probably replaced the burner 6-8 times over the years, so I know what I'm talking about.This item is supposed to slide to different lengths. Its crudely made, and when moved to the length you want the holes don't line up well. Then when it gets hot they move. I took it out several times (a messy job) to adjust, and put in screws to try to hold it. Also the holes are too large and the flame very uneven. Things burn in one area, don't cook a short distance away. Even though its only a few months old I got rid of it.Advice: Don't get this "adjustable" burner, but take measurements of your grill and get the correct size.
