By Charles Balchunas
This is by far the most convenient charcoal grill I have owned, I've used it now for 2 years and other than having to replace the ash pan---it still looks and works great. Cooking grid still cleans up easily and looks like new (after over 100 uses). Like other grills but hate having to open them when there is no hinge on the hood---this hood is hinged. Will probably last anothet 2 years---for 40 bucks---quite a deal. Cooking surface is 18 inch square---enough to cook 8 burgers easily. Cooking grate can be set low or high--great for searing steak.

By Deeann M. Reeves
I didn't purchase my grill here, so cant vouch for any of that. But I'm an avid back yard barbeque girl, and am on my second Walkabout. This is not because of any lack of quality, far from it. I've been known to smoke a butt on Christmas eve (in Northern NY) and grill about every night in the summer, 2-3 times a week in winter. These little grills can do anything! I use mine as a personal smoker, just vent it right, use a smoker box (or packets) for the chips, and this little guy will take care of ya! It has endured tin foil beer filled drip pans, forgotten chimny starters and all sorts of weather. My only complaint is that the second one has a top vent that is a bit loose, but a little work and it's better (couple taps with a hammer!) If you are a back yard BBQ'er, and want to get into smoking, this is the best. Can't say enough good things about it!!

By John Marrow
I must have spent about 1.5 hours just staring at all of the grills at Lowes. I already knew that I wanted to go with a charcoal grill, but I just couldn't help but swoon at the bigger and fancier looking grills. I kept thinking about how nice the grill would look in my back yard. The major problem however, was that the Aussie Walk-a-Bout happened to be on sale at the time for $35.00 (as others have pointed out, the price here on Amazon seems pretty steep) and at that price, I figured I couldn't lose.I was a little fearful that I would regret getting this grill, but it turned out to be the best grill I've ever owned... ok, it's the only grill I've actually owned, but still. With this grill, I am able to prepare just about any foods that I would have ever wanted to: hamburgers, hotdogs, ribs, beer-can chicken, corn, potatoes and many more things. I figured that if I can do all of these things, what exactly would I need a grill that costs $100+ for? All the foods I make on this taste fantastic, and let me say that I am not even remotely what one would consider an expert griller. Half of the time I grill, I feel like I am just winging it, but somehow things just work out. And if I can grill great foods on this grill, then I know anyone else could as well. And most people probably already know this, but BBQ recipes that use the Weber kettle work well with this grill as well. In fact, I haven't really seen anything done (so far) on a Weber kettle that cannot be done on the Aussie Walk-a-Bout.Another plus was that this grill came pre-assembled and ready to use. One of the turn offs I had about a larger grill was assembling it. For some reason when I assemble things, they just don't turn out quite the way they are supposed to if you know what I mean.I have had this grill since last summer and so far, I don't see any signs that it'll need replacing any time soon. But one complaint I've seen is that the paint at the bottom of the grill peals. This is true, but to me this isn't a big deal. It doesn't affect the performance of the grill, which is really all I care about. Besides, since it is only a the bottom of the grill, I rarely ever notice it.This is simply a fantastic grill for the price and unless you know how to take advantage of the extra features that come with more expensive grills, then you'll probably be more than satisfied with the Aussie. I've had it since last summer and still don't have any regrets.
